I’ve been a photographer / cinematographer for the last 10 years of my life. Through countless productions I have continued to explore the vast exciting world of photography. While it might be 2013 I still love to shoot with film. There is something inspirational about film. Its hard to put words to but its my preferred format.

I like to think of my photography as something that could appear in national geographic one day. And that is more of a drive for me than landing on a film production. The last few years have been difficult to say the very least there is light at the end of the tunnel.

In looking at what I love to shoot I have discovered my love for nature and the Earth. I’m currently pursing a degree in Geology and I afford all my strength to that endeavor. I hope it takes me places in my life that have yet only seemed as a dream. Its a long and challenging road ahead but I have two years completed and a literately mountain of debt from my previous two film and multimedia degrees, standing in my way, crushing my hopes each day before I build them back up with courage of a better more rewarding life.

I’m literately awaiting a miracle to fund my college future while I try out plan X,Y,Z. I don’t care what state or country I have to go to complete it – i have to do it for myself. I made this blog to motivate myself to keep pursing the dream of all dreams. To look back and see what I have been through and maybe get a laugh or two from my readers. The transition to a different major, a different career a different path is not an easy one but I hope to find others on a similar journey.

Being an artist certainly has its up’s and downs and i have found that in tackling a geology degree everything is fitting into place as far as taking classes and the motivation. I’ve learned to think differently about things from my experiences as a artist and maybe, just maybe it was meant to happen this way.

So grab your camera and come with me. Company is always welcome!
